Marshall L. Mitchell specializes in providing management consulting, forensic accounting, and government relations services to public and private sector clients. Mr. Mitchell passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Exam in Georgia in 1973. He is a former Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Georgia State Board of Accountancy, and participated in activities of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for many years. In addition, Mr. Mitchell served on a special panel of advisors during the President Carter administration that advised the White House on issues impacting reporting and disclosures by the public accounting profession.
Mitchell is available to assist DAM clients in connection with litigation and research matters relating to financial impact matters and other financial considerations that are part of specific litigation cases. In addition, Mitchell assists with general law practice matters in connection with analyzing, reviewing, and quantifying the current and strategic financial impacts related to terms in intergovernmental and other agreements that could have an impact on revenues and revenue enhancements.
Mitchell is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee and a 1971 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He has been appointed in the past and served on the Fulton County Elderly Authority, the Georgia Board of Natural Resources, the Georgia Board of Public Safety, the Georgia State Board of Accountancy, as well as several committees of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, including the Federal Government Executive Committee and the Federal Government Acquisition Subcommittee.
