Emilia Walker Ashby is a Partner with Denmark Ashby Matricardi LLC whose practice focuses on representing municipalities and public entities throughout Georgia. Ms. Walker Ashby has successfully negotiated millions of dollars in government contracts and has represented clients before municipal, magistrate, state, superior, and federal courts, including the Supreme Court of Georgia. She was instrumental in securing a landmark appellate decision that clarified the legal standards governing school board liability involving due process, substantive due process, and procedural due process claims under federal law.

Her practice encompasses virtually every aspect of municipal representation, including economic development, zoning and land use, alcohol licensing and regulation, code enforcement, nuisance abatement, public procurement, contract negotiation, and compliance with Georgia’s Open Meetings and Open Records Acts.
