German (Gio) Pinzon

Gio brings more than seven years of international legal experience in corporate governance, public law, and human rights, with a particular focus on the ethical and statutory frameworks that support effective and accountable local government. He earned his LL M from Emory University School of Law and has held influential roles with the Georgia State Ethics Commission and the Douglas County Superior Court, where his work supported the integrity and operation of public institutions.

In these roles, Gio supported local government and judicial functions by conducting advanced legal research on ethics regulations governing public officials, drafting and reviewing court documents, and analyzing complex state statutes to inform compliance, governance, and sound decision making. His ability to work across jurisdictions and legal systems, combined with his fluency in Spanish, enables him to effectively serve diverse communities and support matters with regional and international dimensions.

Gio joined the firm as a paralegal, developing deep institutional knowledge and a firsthand understanding of the firm’s standards, client relationships, and collaborative culture. Following his admission to the Georgia State Bar, he transitioned seamlessly into his role as an attorney with the firm. This progression makes him a valuable resource for clients, offering continuity, institutional insight, and strong alignment with the firm’s mission and approach to public sector representation.
