Michael Huening

Michael “Micky” Huening is an Attorney with Denmark Ashby Matricardi LLC whose practice focuses on local government law, municipal litigation, and civil litigation. He represents municipalities and public entities in a wide range of legal matters, providing practical legal counsel that supports effective governance and protects the interests of the communities they serve. Mr. Huening has practiced in both the public and private sectors, serving as in-house counsel for the State of Georgia and as a litigation attorney with Lazega & Johanson LLC before joining Denmark Ashby Matricardi LLC. During his tenure with the Firm, he has served as City Solicitor for the Cities of Stonecrest and Lithonia, where he provides legal counsel to elected officials, advises on municipal governance, prosecutes ordinance violations, and represents each municipality in legal proceedings. These experiences have given him a wellrounded understanding of municipal operations and the legal issues confronting local governments throughout Georgia.
